A associação “naTerra” garantiu a “estadia” de uma exposição fotográfica sobre Timor-Leste por um mês na Fundação Oriente. As verbas angariadas revertem inteiramente a favor de um outro projecto da associação: o de construir um centro comunitário em Baucau.
Durante um mês, a galeria da Casa Garden da Fundação Oriente vai acolher uma exposição fotográfica sobre as gentes e paisagens de Timor-Leste. A inauguração tem hora marcada para a próxima sexta-feira, 19, pelas 18h30, contando com o patrocíneo do Café Oumun.
As fotografias são da autoria de Fernando Madeira, fotográfo e membro da “Na Terra” – uma associação de educação para o desenvolvimento sustentável. Com esta mostra pretende-se angariar verbas para a próxima iniciativa da associação “naTerra” intitulada “Raio de Sol – um projecto de sustentabilidade em Timor-Leste”, em que o grupo se propõe a construir um Centro Comunitário de Educação para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável em Baucau, contribuindo para que a população se torne mais auto-suficiente através do desenvolvimento de infra-estruturas, educação e partilha de competências. Conseguindo reunir as verbas necessárias, cinco dos elementos partem para Timor em finais de Fevereiro do próximo ano.
“Na Terra” é uma associação sem fins lucrativos, fundada em Macau, que reúne um conjunto de elementos que têm como objectivo comum criar soluções ecologicamente saudáveis, economicamente viáveis e socialmente justas, particularmente a nível comunitário.
A “Na Terra” participou recentemente no Festival da Lusofonia apresentando, no auditório do Carmo, o projecto “Raio de Sol” e uma colecção de fotografias de Timor. São estas fotografias que ficam agora à venda na Casa Garden até dia 19 de Janeiro. Durante esse período, a exposição estará aberta ao público todos os dias entre as 10 e as 19 horas. As receitas revertem inteiramente a favor do projecto “Raio de Sol”.
RAISING FUNDS TO SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT IN BAUCAU
The association "naTerra" (in English “onEarth”) pledged to "stay" for a month with a photo exhibition about East Timor in Orient Foundation. The raised funds will entirely support the main project of the association: to build a Community Centre in Baucau.
For a month, the gallery of Casa Garden, head office of the Orient Foundation in Macau, will host a photo exhibition on landscapes and the people of East Timor. The inauguration is scheduled for next Friday, 19, at 6:30PM, counting with the support of Café Oumun.
The pictures are by Fernando Madeira, photographer and member of "naTerra - an association dedicated to the Education for Sustainable Development. With this exhibition the association aims to raise funds for its next initiative, entitled "Raio de Sol” (in english “Ray of Sun”) - a sustainability project in East Timor". The group proposal is to build a Community Center of Education for Sustainable Development in Baucau, contributing to the community’s self-sufficiency through the development of infrastructure, education and skill sharing. Once the necessary funds are gathered, five of the group elements depart to East Timor, hopefully on February next year.

"naTerra" recently participated in the Lusofonia Festival by presenting, in Auditório do Carmo, the project "Raio de Sol" and a photo collection of East Timor. These are the same pictures that are now on sale at Casa Garden until January 19. During this period, the exhibition will be open to the public every day between 10AM and 7PM. All the money raised will entirely support the project "Raio de Sol".
